Cult of Khaine Warhammer Army Blog

This blog is dedicated to my Dark Elf Warhammer army - The Cult of Khaine.

I have been collecting and painting models for the past couple of years in particular the games workshop warhammer dark elves. These are my favourite minatures out of their range and over the time I have amassed a rather large army. I thought it would be a good idea to blog my development of the army as It evolves to keep a record of my ideas and to showcase the models when I finish them. I will be posting various images, comments and links as I go and would love to hear any comments you have.

Dwarf Armies on Parade Board

So this years Armies on Parade has come and gone and it was a bit of a rush to get this finished for this comp, mostly because I procrastinated about entering. I did in the end and was lucky to pick up a gold for the effort. Unfortunately there was no national round :-( I wish GW would get their S%$# together in Australia and support the hobby better. Anyway this was a lot of fun to make.

Dwarf Stronghold

I knocked this out in a couple of weekends and it was a lot of fun to make. Below are the WIP photos and the final shots. This was for my Armies on Parade board. Made mostly from Balsa Wood and Polystyrene.

Drow Warhammer Army

Finally here is the finished army - there is only one model left that I have to paint and that is a beholder, but the one I got I think is to big for the army, so it's back to the drawing board.

I'm quite happy how this came together, perhaps one day I will add some more units to it, but for the time being I have some other projects to get on with.

Drow Priestesses

A couple more single minis - some Drow Priestesses.

Drow Cauldron of Blood - Spider Shrine

I have finished painting this beauty! I came together really nicely, the leadbelcher dark metal paint works well to convey black onyx for the spider queen. Also the attendants looks suitably sinister and compliment the driders in the army.
